Tapas Acupressure Technique

Tapas Acupressure Technique, or TAT, is another acupuncture based energy therapy technique. This technique accesses several meridians where they enter the brain near the nose and the visual cortex. This powerful technique helps us to experience or sense the issue differently and let go of the emotional charge attached to the issue.

TAT does not involve tapping of any kind. Instead, one uses a pose, placing the fingers of one hand in a certain position around the nose and the other hand on the back of your head.  One holds the pose and the focus on the issue until there is a shift to new information, feelings or awarenesses about the issue.

The TAT Pose

TAT is very effective for people who get vivid images of the distressing events.  However, if one has a felt sense of the issue this is just as good.

Additionally, I find TAT very helpful to clients who are angry with other people.  It gives the person a very safe and easy method of venting and expressing themselves.

As with EFT, TAT is NOT a substitute for conventional counseling and therapy. It is, however, compatible with Western counseling and therapy and all other forms of therapy and healing.
